Dear Parents,
Hope you are all safe and well. Hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather we are having. I am sure it is very difficult to focus on school work at the moment with the
beautiful weather but remember there are lots of important learning experiences to be gained while playing outdoors. I have outlined some activities for the coming week. Again please do not feel under pressure to get everything done. Feel free
to email me if you have any questions or if I can be of any help.
Best Wishes

My Coins
I know a little poem.
It isn’t very funny.
It’s all about my cent coins
And how to count my money.
A cent
means there’s just one
And two cent means there’s two.
We know that two means one and one
And to have two cent is really fun.
Five
cent means five.
That means two and two and one.
When I have five cent
Off to the shop I run.
Activity 2: Trading my
Coins
Place coins in the middle of the table- this is the bank.
Your child can be the banker. Give your child a 5c coin ask him/her to exchange it, for example 2c +2c + 1c,
1c, + 1c,+1c +2c , etc..
( play this game using 2c and 10c also )
Activity 3 Play Shop
Make a play shop at home. Place a price tag beside each item. No item should cost more than 10 cent. Make up questions about the items.
How much does the cereal cost?
Which is dearer/more expensive/cheapest/least expensive/ the apple or the orange?

Dear Parents,
Hope you are all safe and well and hope you had a good bank holiday weekend despite the restrictions. Hope you found the work suggestions helpful and manageable last week. It is lovely to see all the great art and craft activities being done at
home and also lovely to see your photographs. I have outlined some activities for the coming week. If it is causing difficulty or stress abandon it and perhaps return to it at a later stage. Remember staying positive and keeping your child secure and content
is very important at the moment. Again please do not feel under pressure to get everything done. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or if I can help in anyway.
