24th June, 2020-
Wishing you all a very happy summer holidays.
Hopefully the weather will remain very pleasent and all will remain safe-
It
is wonderful to hear of the Covid restrictions lifting and we all look forward to return to school in as normal & safe an environment as possible in the new academic year-
Well done to you all for all the work and committment shown with your children during these past few months. The reality which we all found ourselves in was far from ideal & it was a venture into the unknown
for all of us-
Distance, remote learning, away from class and peers, for primary school pupils is challenging. We
hope the home school suggestions and plans and schemes helped generate momentum for the time away from school.
We all appreciate that every child
is different, every home circumstance is unique and every person has dealt with all of this reality in seperate ways, but also in the best ways people could at given times-
When we return in August, our initial main focus is to get all our school community back and settled and happy and engaged with their peers and school routines again-
We will revise work, review any books returned & continue to do this throughout the year with all children and work with home to ensure all children get happily back into happy, progressive school routines once more-
We await further Department guidelines & distancing requirements etc in order to finalise class groupings, classrooms & teachers, to maximise safety & full return
to our school- We will update as we learn more ourselves-
Ms Clare Doyle is taking a career break for 2020- 2021 School Year. We wish Clare the very best
for the year ahead. The appointment of replacement teacher for the year will be made during Summer and we update accordingly.
Thank you all for your committment,
communication & input throughout this & best wishes to you all for the summer ahead-
Emails will be checked regularly throughout the summer and
responded to & post is redirected, so I will receive it.
Have a lovely summer -
Best wishes,
Margaret & all the staff of Inchigeela NS
(Please look at sixth class graduation tab for further 6th class photos this morning & thanks again Laura Griffin for the beautiful cakes)
